Painted Pony got its name from my two major passions; horses and quilting. So, of course I combined them to come up with a name for my quilting business. I quilt with a Gammill Classic Plus machine on a 12 foot frame.  The frame can handle any size quilt that will fit on a bed, and still have some room to get the machine off the quilt for bobbin changes.

As of 2023 I have ten years of experience quilting for others as well as myself.

I started showing my own quilts at the local fairs in 2017. That first quilt brought home FIVE Grand Champion rosettes from five fairs! Another one brought home a couple of Reserve Grand Champion rosettes. Then, Omigosh! I repeated that feat with another quilt in 2018, one I also designed. Then came 2019. Every fair I entered resulted in Grand and Reserve Grand Champion rosettes! The Grand Champion winner was a very large quilt I designed and made for a client/friend out west. That quilt was 5 years in the making! The other quilt was the result of testing a pattern for a talented Canadian designer and got a couple of Grand Champion rosettes also. Both quilts went on to the District 5 competition, competing against 24 other Grand Champion quilts. They came in First and Third. The commission quilt went on from there to become the third best quilt in all of Ontario at the Ontario Convention for all fairs. Then Covid hit and fairs were cancelled. Stay tuned to see what the future brings.

Now, with all this experience and talent going for me, I will take your quilt top and make it your treasured prize because I treat each and every client quilt as if it were my own.
